Monitor 10A Tweeters

I have a pair of 10A's I purchased around 1979. The tweeters blew around 12 years ago and I had them replaced with a generic tweeter. I have had the speakers in a closet for the past 10 years or so and have just broke them out
again and would like to replace the tweeters with the "right ones" I think the originals were the Peerless with the hole in it. What would be a good replacement?
Thanks

Peerless tweeters are the original tweeters for the Polk Monitor 10As and are absolutely the best tweeters for the original Monitor series. I have two pair of Monitor 10s with the Peerless tweeters and love the sound. Peerless tweeters are only available on the used market so your best option is to check the usual sites - craigslist, ebay, etc - for a pair of original Peerless tweeters. They do show up now and then. I blew a tweeter in one of my Monitor 10s about 6 months ago and found a nice original replacement pair. They are out there. It may take a little time and patience but they are well worth the effort to locate them.

There's also a Peerless Clone sold by Midwest Speaker: http://w.mawebcenters.com/midwestspeaker/ecommerce/home-audio/tweeters/mw-audio-mt-4115-1-inch-dome-tweeter.html . It's supposedly an exact copy of the original Denmark Tweeter. I've not heard good or bad things about it, so can't say if it sounds the same.Home Theater/2 Channel:

westmassguy that is a great link! They are available in 4 and 8 ohms
Wow they look the same, for that price I would try them, at least until the used one start peeping up on ebay
Faustin, Hi! and Welcome!
You could be our tester on this and if they do sound the same it would be great! I think the originals were 4 ohms, anybody know?
pglbook do you know?westmassguy wrote: »eBay is your best source for the original Peerless, just make sure the numbers match on the back if bought separately. Some were made in Denmark, while other were manufactured in the US.

I did see the Peerless clones on ebay. Might give them a try until I can find some originals. Not sure if they are 4 or 8 ohm. Would
the ones in the box be marked? Also, I am trying to find out the correct fuse to use on the back of the speaker. Anyone know?
Thanks -
I believe they were 8 ohms nominalHome Theater/2 Channel:
