Is there a better ice cream?

I am not sure there is IMHO.
It may be a regional thing, not sure, you have it in your market?
Anything better you have tried?

I worked in the ice cream biz a few years ago (and 70# ago, lol). Edy's and Dreyers are the same, Edy's E coast, Dreyers W coast. Both are considered "premium" ice cream. The likes of Haagen Daz and Ben and Jerrys are "super premium". The now defunct co I worked for was Fratelli's, a local co in direct comp with HD and B&J. I miss the warm spring days driving thru the UW campus with Van Halens Ice Cream Man blaring from my truck. I was known to give out free samples to the lovely ladies...

Ben and Jerry's is pretty good. Edy's or Haagen Daz....eh, not my cup of tea. Both of those seem to be kinda dry tasting, not creamy and smooth. Blue Bunny or Breyers isn't bad when your slummin' it. I like Cold Stone, Oberweis which is local for me but when I want to go all out....go homemade. A few shops I know have some darn fine homemade ice creams, italian ice, gelato.

gelato in the US covers a wide range of products including frozen desserts eaten like ice cream; products that are identical to ice cream with the exception of their butterfat contents; and premium ice cream containing butterfat far exceeding the minimums set forth in Italy

Amen Paul. Being an ice cream fanatic myself, I always say ice cream makes everyone feel better. Ever see people argue when eating a cone ? Ever seen one with a frown on their face and a cone in hand ? Never my good man. Alot of world problems could be solved with ice cream.

Instead of government handing out free food stamps, they should just have free ice cream. Instead of government cheese, government ice cream. On second thought....nah, probably would taste like crappola.
