PSW 650 - Power-Up Problem

First I want to say that the PSW 650 is awesome.
For some reason, I am now unable to power-up the sub-woofer.
I tried plugging it into several different active outlets, however, I don't see the power indicator light illuminate on the front dial anymore. There is no sound coming from the speakers, and I have tried the power switch setting in 'On' and 'Auto'.
The unit is now disconnected from my system. Is there a replaceable line fuse within the unit that may have blown ?

Hello,
Thanks for posting on the Forum. I'm sorry there's a problem with the PSW650. Step one would be to check the internal AC line fuse, if you've experienced power outages this could account for the fuse being blown. To check this you would:
1). un-plug the AC power cord, just a precaution, and remove the 12 Phillips screws that go around the circumference of the amplifier's input plate (where all the input/output connections are made).
2). the amplifier will pull away from the enclosure and if you look where the AC power cord goes through the metal input plate you should see a fuse holder with a 5 Ampere 250 Volt, time delay (slow blow) fuse that is 5mm x 20 mm.
3). if the fuse is heavily blackened, when you examine it; or if a replacement fuse immediately blows, once it's been replaced, as soon as the power cord is plugged in, there is a problem with the amplifier itself.
4). in that case you would box the amplifier up and send it to Polk Audio, 2550 Britannia Blvd., Suite D, San Diego, CA. 92154. Please include a short note giving us your name and address and a copy of your sales receipt.

Ken,
Thanks for the reply. I removed the twelve screws around the circumference of the input/output plate. however, the plate does not pull away from the cabinet.
Is there some kind of adheseive during assembly that holds it tight to the cabinet? I am hesitant to tug on the speaker posts to pull the plate towards me.
Could there be additional hardware holding it in place? -
Hello,
No, those are the only screws necessary. Sometimes it can be a fairly tight fit, just give a good tug on the binding posts to pull it out.
