What is this multipin cable for Polk?
I thought these are serial cables for computers.

My guess is it's for the SRT's.Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

My wife's Sony soundbar system used it as a connection between the sub and the bar. Probably similar for the IHT systems?"Some people find it easier to be conceited rather than correct."

nope. SRT uses normal speaker cables. this cable looks like a standard parallel cable. reminds me of my old printer

That is a DB25 used to connect the preamp/processor to the subwoofer for the RMDS1 system.

Okay that settles it.
So a serial or parallel cable is NOT the same?

The Polk cable has a low capacitance rating in order to not roll off the upper frequencies, but other than that it is a standard DB25 type cable.
