Depends if they're bipoles, dipoles, or direct... plus distance and height as sides as opposed to as rears... plus personal preference. Bottom line: try it both ways and see what you like. :biggrin:2-Channel: PC > Schiit Eitr > Audio Research DAC-8 > Audio Research LS-26 > Pass Labs X-250.5 > Magnepan 3.7's
Living Room: PC > Marantz AV-7703 > Emotiva XPA-5 > Sonus Faber Liuto Towers, Sonus Faber Liuto Center, Sonus Faber Liuto Bookshelves > Dual SVS PC12-Pluses
Office: Phone/Tablet > AudioEngine B1 > McIntosh D100 > Bryston 4B-ST > Polk Audio LSiM-703's -
Always best to go with what they use when doing the mix.

All rooms, and furniture placement is different. It depends what works best in your given room,as well as the type speakers you are running, and a bunch of other things. With a little more info, room size, seating arrangement, distance from back wall, and speaker type you are using, we may be able to offer you more help.
