So by your comment to me, YOU think $1400 Focal near field speakers warrant an extremely expensive PC..
Or just maybe you could get better sound by a speaker upgrade for $10k
Or $8k near fields and $2k PC, I'm thinking even You would go this route.

This comment alone makes me discount quite literally everything you say out of hand and makes me realize you know nothing about nearfield listening. Because the Focals he has are a pretty fantastic pair of nearfield monitors by any definition of the word.
Nearfields are designed for *gasp* listening up close. And as such have completely different requirements and specs than a set of bookies on stands 10 feet away.

Cheezy, I have plenty of the adhesive putty on hand here, along with plenty of copper wire mined exclusively by 1 armed Tibetan virgins (I cannot guarantee that last part though, I have made a few business trips there:redface:).

I could make you another one for a mere $30k!
And thats only because I feel bad the first one was lost in the mail.

I second the poo poo'ness of this thread.

Awww...look...he and The Hyman relate with each other.

My point, Trollman was that the Focal nearfields sound great. *FOR* nearfield listening but you discounted the speakers out of hand. Which smacks of absolutely zero knowledge about nearfield listening. But of course, your guilty concious read more into it than there was. But at least I tried to contribute to this thread which is more than anyone can say for any one of your 250+ posts of trolling and exhibitions of ignorance.

I can vouch for Pepster's power cables, he made me a slightly better deal than 30k but now I owe him my first born child. Totally worth it:twisted:

He was implying that these near field speakers are sufficient to hear the benefits of sound from power cable upgrade. Power cords are the biggest upgrade path in the audio system. They also replace your pre-amp / DAC.

    Darth Vader vs Ice King

Darth Vader is silky like Ice King, but instead of being on the bright side, it's on the dark side. Darth Vader and Ice King are enemies, but Darth Vader can't invade Ice King's home planet without freezing to death. And Ice King doesn't own a space ship, so they can never meet. However, having two opposites gives balance to the Universe. It's the same thing with the audio system, you want both cables in the same system to get neutrality. It's best to use Darth Vader for the amplifier, and Ice King for the DAC. For the transport you will use Grim Reaper.

Yes, seriously. But I didn't pay full $50k. Since I am an early adopter he sold it to me for a very low price (still very expensive for high-end audio term).

I also had / have other cable manufacturers in mind, such as Kimber, Nordost, Synergistic Research, etc. But I feel they are overpriced for the performance they offer.cheezy

Good diagram you linked. Quartz crystals is also found in some top end model from Audioquest and other competing brands also.

And that's Sahara cable. The White Night Power 5m has better spec, and the distributor model I bought has 20 layers of tree fiber and 3D silver shielding, plus the black crystals. This distributor was intended to compete with the standard model WHite Night Power but it turned out much better than expected. It is about equal to Ice King, which is another $50k cable.

This is fun. Kinda needed it after the last few days.

And I don't know if the OP is joking or not, but I actually don't care how he spends his money. It's his money.

I bought the Venom 3 just to get me going since I haven't received the package. I actually prefer the stock cable for some songs.

He sent out the replacement for me today. It's the lesser, shorter White Night Power 2m cables. He will send one at a time via priority shipping. He is currently building the 2nd one and it takes time.

Hopefully I will receive this soon.

If it is anything like the "Sahara" cable posted, you might consider, solid core wire and mechanical connections (Furutechs) do not go well together.
I would at least do a continuity test before plugging that cable into anything.

I was already spending the $30k from my offer previously!

Guess I'll call the escort service back and cancel!

Plus they work better than Rogaine. Okay. The troll question is answered. LOL.

The replacement cable #1 (White Night Power 2m) is coming. THis is supposed to be pretty fast shipping. Not sure if it's gonna here by Friday. I am guessing sometime next week.

Once I receive it I will initiate the photoshoot.

Maybe a video too, but I prefer to wait till I receive both cables. Each cable will be connected directly from wall outlet to the Focal speaker.

I think the sender insured it. I'm pretty sure he did. We don't know if the package is lost yet as it is being investigated. He says it will take a while to get response back from the International Inquiry Center.
