Hittin' the Bottles

Very stoked today... Hooked up my new arrival Yaqin MC 100B... The B must be for BAD **** Fu**a...

No issues (thank you Song) plugged in the tubes, cables etc. and everything went according to plan.

Listening quietly with my VR3 modded LSi 9's and this is a sweet package...the sound is very warm and precise, visually is very appealing to the eye. If Steve Irwin was here he would "Isn't she a beaut?"

Can't wait for break in to be complete, as I can tell this baby will scream.

My next addition will be a TT. I have been looking at some vintage stuff on F Mebay, but think i will go with Music Hall MMF 5.1.

Man, nice lookin' piece there. Kinda reminds me of the Cayin. Congrats man, any off the bat observations to sound quality ?

I haven't really pushed it, and probably will wait till I get 100 hrs or so in triode mode, but it seems very quiet, and smooth; I bypassed my sub and listening to CD's directly, and with everything flat (which is my preference any how) it seems to be well balanced, and I don't notice it lacking anything. Guitars sound good, Sax sounded great, and drums and cymbals all very lifelike.

Quality wise the thing is built like a tank and is a heavy MF.

You have the stock tubes in that bad boy or did you spring for some NOS ? Was looking at the Cayin a88t too, these units look very similiar, but the Cayin is way more coin. The Yaqin is a looker for sure.

Stockers so far...will probably pop for tubes but these are not bad for Chinese Cheap. I think the 88's have a nice tight bass, and from what I read are probably the last tubes to roll

I rationalized the lack of remote by needing to go to the fridge and the toilet occasionally anyhow.

Les Paul and a Jackson? I think I see a single coil in the neck position , I 'm gonna assume it's a SL1 or a SL3. I'm leaning towards a SL3

Nice! I get better performance on my LSi9 in pentode or ultralinear on push pull tube amps. If you're still in triode mode, you might want to try the other.

It is an early 90's DK2 MIJ. It is nice... not a mark on it...

Sounds good. I think you'll like UL on the 9's. It will double your power and increase damping.

I ordered the Music Hall MMF 5.1 TT today from Needledoctor... He also suggested the Cambridge Audio AZUR 651 Phono pre...Now I am waiting again... Needledoctor seems to be a great shop...
