How can I tell whether its a tweeter or other speaker? Are parts available still for the Monitor 7?

    Hello,
Thanks for posting on the Forum. The easiest way is to remove the speaker's grille cover and use a medium sized pillow to cover up the tweeter, at the top. Then switch the pillow to cover the driver, in the middle, isolating the tweeter. This should help you determine which one is causing the problem. Then remove the one it proves to be and note the part number found on the rear of the magnet, "SL" for tweeters and "MW" for drivers. Then telephone us at 1-800-377-7655 for ordering/price information.
    Regards, Ken

I believe the 6502 were replaced by the now current 6510's. Be sure to get the 'club' pricing of $48 each (you'll need 2 won't you) with the free shipping.

    Bud,

    Take a look here, http://clubpolk.polkaudio.com/service/parts/partslist.php3?item=drivers

I'm not sure if the driver you need is available, but a call to Polk will answer that.

Hmmmm.......yeah Bud, sorry for the long delay also. Yes, I have been to the USGP F1 race at Indy. I wish they would race at a full road course instead, but 20 cars screaming at 19,000 rpm is always fun. :D
