Bada HD-22 tube CD Player ($240!)

Okay ladies and gents. I have for sale a Bada tubed CD player - built like a tank and in excellent condtion. The only cosmetic distraction I can find with it are some VERY faint feet marks on the top of the unit where it was stacked by the previous owner. Otherwise, tip-top. Anyone looking for a well-built, excellent performing CD player that has garnered nothing but praise on this forum and many others may have just found your new source.

Sonically speaking... the player excels in detail retrieval. If you're looking for something highly accurate, look no further. As a bonus, the player offers both a tube output option and SS option. Have yet to talk to an owner who doesn't prefer the tube output, but at least you'll be be able decide that on your own. Also... the stainless steel remote can double as a boat anchor - and at the very least, serves as a conversation piece.

Now to the caveats. I have chose to link a previous "for sale" thread for this unit because it best explains this particular unit's treatment of scratched CD's. Far better than I could. To add my 2 cents, if your CD collection is not well maintained - this player will protest in the form of skipping. It is not very forgiving, even with minor scratches. I have yet to encounter a single incident of skipping with a new or well-taken care of CD. But if a buddy comes over and wants to play something that's been camping on his dashboard for the last three months, you should know what to expect. Here's the aforemetioned previous sale link:

http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?118093-BADA-HD-22-CD-Player&highlight=bada+cdp

Other than that... I'm going to offer this puppy at what I do believe is the lowest price I have ever seen it for sale.

$240 plus shipping. So yeah...

Some specs...
Specifications:
• Philips Laserhead and Transport
• BurrBrown PCM1732 HDCD D/A Chipset
• 96KHz/24Bit Digital Output
• HDCD Filter Optimized For 44.1KHz To 96KHz
• Tube and solid state Output
• Two quality transformers for digital and analog
• Output Power: <=2.2V
• Frequency Response: 20Hz~20kHz(±0.5dB)
• S/N Ratio: >=110dB
• THD: <=0.005%
• Dynamic Range: 110dB

Thanks for looking and whatnot.

    Nice tube player. NO ONE should ever prefer the SS play on this. Reminds me a lot of my Jolida which is NOT going anywhere. If I didn't have the Jolida already, I'd be all over this. A KNOCK OUT price for a tube CDP. You won't find many at this PRICE!

    Well... Many thanks for the CNH "seal of approval". It is an awesome piece. I've just decided to go the Squeezebox route for my digital media and stick with vinyl for my lone physical. One thing's for sure... the rack is not going to look nearly as sexy without the Bada.

    LOL, I hate that you posted this, I literally have a universal player showing up at my door tomorrow lol.....

    For those looking for some additional pics of the model (but not the one being sold) as well as a review, one of the forum members posted one here:

    http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?82436-Bada-HD-22SE-CD-player

    I dont know if this player does more than just CD's, but it might be worth posting what formats it will play (like SACD, DVD-A, CD-RW's, etc) if someones on the fence...

    Nice cd player..looks alot like my Jolida. If i didn't have that i would for sure consider it. The skipping part..not so sure about that.
    The Jolida pretty much plays any nasty cd i have..not sure it ever skipped.

    Thanks for the great deal. The CDP is a nice addition to my system. I received it yesterday and it is in great shape. I tested it with a disc that had some minor scratches on it and it performed perfectly.

    It's hard to say at this point. I've had a chest cold for the past couple weeks that, just yesterday, moved into my head (Specifically the ears) so my hearing isn't very sharp right now.
