I also have this listed on the 'gon. Asking $2,300 there. Polkies can do better, PM me if interested. This is a great pre amp and phono stage. High current extremely low distortion design Class A tube circuit.
ModWright SWLP 9.0SE. Rated 8/10 for age only; no scratches/scrapes, non-smoking environment. Original owner, optional Blue faceplate, ModWright Signature caps (although there are a couple of Sonicaps in there), tube regulated PS (Silver face) with factory upgrade (have receipt). Reason for sale is I built a real nice dual mono balanced output DAC which required a balanced pre amp. (Dan could add XLRs to the SWLP but not make it balanced circuitry, and my amps have balanced inputs so it was time). There is a great deal of worthy praise for this pre amp with phono stage.
Includes remote, a pair of Tube World Raytheon 5687 Kuhl-Tubes, a Mullard branded 5AR4 rectifier Kuhl-Tube ($375), a new Ruby 5AR4 that came with PS upgrade, two pairs Sovtek 6C45, two pairs Sovtek 6N1P, pair of Tung Sol WA, Phillips WB, Sylvania WA. While not pictured original manual is included. The Sovteks I got from Dan as spares. The 5AR4 is a Holland black base rebranded Mullard. Similar sonics to 55-57 metal base.
Will ship in original shipping boxes. Ill also include the three isolation type footers that I also bought from Dan. I had the tubes tested at a local radio repair place. They all tested strong (100% +) on a Sencore.
NOTE: The retail price ($5,045) includes tube rectified SWLP and includes optional blue faceplate ($200) and the $400 PS upgrade. Buyer pays shipping and paypal fees, if applicable.
