MM840dvc dust cap broken

Hey,
I have an MM840DVC sub and it suddenly started rattling with not much sound. After some looking it seems the dust cap/cone has broken away from the inner cone connected to the coil. The glue that was holding it on has failed so it's just sitting in space. If you push down on the cap so it makes contact it actually sounds normal. How can this be fixed since access is limited through the basket? Thanks.
