So basically we have two classes of listeners here: the OCD guys and the porno men! Is that it? Or can we have a third category?

Eating Grape-Nuts while listening to digital media kinda gives it that old vinyl sound.

For many of the people here this is weird, but I try to get best sound possible out of my gear, and have a noise free environment to enjoy it. I have moved my refrigerator to the garage, and had the house insulated to reduce background noise. Plus I have spent beau coup dollars on cables, power conditioner, and dedicated AC line. This applies to both the stereo and HT. Now I am drinking a beer, listening to Shelby Lynne's Just A Little Lovin', and loving my weirdness.

Hanging by my feet from the ceiling fan and turning it on high. Kinda gives you a pseudo-surround sound type of vibe as you spin around.

I dress up like "Mr. French" (Sebastian Cabot) from the show "Family Affair" except I add a sparkle eyemask and heavy snowmobile boots.

Wow. I haven't thought of that show in years. Buffy Jody and Sissy were favorites of mine when I was a kid. Now I will always picture Mr. French looking like that ugly chick from the Drew Carey show!!

Well of course a Big Fatty makes everything sound Irie mon,lol
You also get the occasional moment of clarity where everything falls into place like when I was training to be a phone technician and was overwhelmed with all the schooling, I was sitting at home had a Fatty and BOOM it all fell into place in my head.

Not exactly listening while the habit takes place, but I always warm up my rig with the same Enya CD played on an endless loop at lower volume.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

It has to be dark, both outside and in. And there has to be booze. Only then are things appropriate and right. Once or twice an hour I get up from my seat and make sure all of the speaker and interconnect cables are snug. I never remove the grilles. It's too personal, like making eye contact while making love. I don't do that.

    Two Channel Setup:

    Speakers: Wharfedale Opus 2-3

    3.2 Home Theater Setup:

    Fronts: Klipsch RP-160M
    Center: Klipsch RP-160M
    Subwoofer: SVS PB12NSD (X 2)
    AVR: Yamaha Aventage RX-A2030
