I only seriously listen when I'm completely nekked except for a pair of bunny slippers and my privates are slathered with peanut butter and honey. Is that normal?

I have a Nichiren Chanting CD that I listen to for a few minutes before any critical listening. It starts off quiet with a small chanting voice that grows into a bellowing thunder. I find the gentle increase from low to high volume warms my ears up like a 10 minute jog does to your other muscles before lifting weights.

You must be the one that will accept the blind listening challenges all the other "golden ears" scoff at, seems like you might be able to discern anything (cables-amps-etc.) if you can hear numbers!

I dress up like "Mr. French" (Sebastian Cabot) from the show "Family Affair" except I add a sparkle eyemask and heavy snowmobile boots. Then I chew a giant wad of "Big League Chew" bubble gum and rock back and forth.

I can't really explain why, but things just seem to sound better that way. Or it might be my speaker cables.

Absolutely it does. Your ears can pick up more of the music that way.

Some times I'll slouch down on the couch so the back pillow is behind my head. The music sounds very different with an absorbent surface an inch behind my ears.

I'll turn on something at a low volume for 10 to 15 min and then do a chore before I sit down and listen (unload dishwasher, take out trash, etc.) Just sounds better warmed up to me.

Typically I need some recreational in me. Woodford reserve works well. And no family home. I also need the house to be clean and organized. It's not weird if it works.
