I know it's a drop in the bucket but is it a sign of the times?

    Yeah, yeah, yeah.

    You always have a great response and I love this one but you do have to admit, the trend is coming back to what you have abandoned. Vinylistas have a LOOOOOOOOONG way to go to get back or surpass where they once were but the trend says one of two things to me;

    Better sound

    ...or a change within the dynamics of the convenience crowd?

    Vinyl will increase for a short more period, but at some point new vinyl users will tire of the hassle and expense of vinyl, and stop buying. Plus they will tell their friends to not bother as it is to much of a hassle for minimal return. When you have an article that says there is a 70% increase, and the total is "389,000 LPs sold", you know there isn't much of a future. On the other hand, high-res digital downloads will continue until it is replaced by on-demand streaming of high-res files.

    The vinyl resurgence is for real. I frequent a place in town here called Ragged Records set up like an old time record store, a large selection of new and used vinyl, turntables and used equipment. I can hang out for hours they crank the tunes you can browse and I always walk out of there with a couple of Lp's. the crowd is both old timers and hipsters good shopping experience. I love vinyl and digital but the nostalgia is where it's fun, analog reproduction sounds just fine to me.

    I borrowed the design and built that. Instead of one piece I did it in two. Some large dowels hold the top to lower section. It holds near 300 LP's, the most I could get into the living room under contract with wife. (Although I did manage to sneak a small stand in that holds about 20 of my showcase albums).:cheesygrin: The rest of my LP's are in a spare bedroom, a bunch downstairs for the retro system.

    Some pics with dimensions. Eventually I bought some dividers and organized them.
