CS1000 Dwarfs All Around It!

I've had this sitting around for a while along with a complete RT5000p system, so I figured I'd put it to good use.

Very awesome center channel. The subs put out an amazing amount of bass for only 50w and two 6" drivers. Naturally blends well with the 800i's (still one of my favorites) and puts out more sound than I'll use on a regular basis...that's what the basement is for....

But my gosh is this thing a beast! Our little Visio looked small before, but now it looks like it might get bucked off at any moment!

Looks like it's time for a larger screen tv or projector.

Very nice. It does make the television look tiny though.

One of the Biggest, Baddest Polk Centers ever, this thing is legendary! I wouldn't mind having one in my system, but I'm sure the wife would "protest"!

    Enjoy!

I wonder how this would compare to a cs350?

Me, if I decide to sell it, though I've yet to hear the RT5000p system in all it's glory, so it could be a bit....

Mine wasn't sure what to think at first, but then she heard the bass it put out for Depeche Mode. And she was good. :D

In a surprising turn of events I found a RT400i locally listed for $80. Showed up, worked great, had a ding in the corner, got it for $70. Did some A/B with the CS1000p and while it had superior bass the 400i was crisper, more defined. The Wife described the 1000 as a bit murky in comparison. I seem to recall reading about crossover differences between RT___p and RT___i speakers? At any rate we settled on the 400i. Blended with the 800i's better, little cleaner sounding. I suspect the 1000 will be much better when mated to the 3000p's ;)
