RTi A 1 trouble

Hey! I have been driving a pair of RTi A1's for a little over 2 years with an JVC RX 8010v and have really enjoyed the sound. Today I noticed some crackling from the right speaker and an unhappy smell, and am now noticing rather diminished response in the lower mids and lows, as well as what seems to be a more shrill sound from the tweeter. Any insight and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. THX!

Welcome to Polk's forum. It sounds as though your speakers are defective and need to be repaired. The guys at Polk customer service can help with that. Give them a call at: 1-800-377-7655 or send them an email at: polkcs@polkaudio.com. They'll want to know the speaker's serial number, date and place of purchase and they'll help you out.
