I am selling my Pass Aleph 30 that I bought from Trey (VR3) here on the forum about 6 months ago. It is in an 8/10 condition (I will add pictures tomorrow). This amp works absolutely perfectly. I replaced the original binding posts with some Cardass CCRR (Rhodium plated) posts as they are much better than the original posts. I am selling this amp for $850.00 shipped CONUS. If you are in Canada or outside CONUS it will cost more for shipping, but I can ship it to you if you are willing to pay for it. The Aleph 30 is a 30 watt pure Class A amplifier and sounds very refined, smooth, relatively warm and pretty high detail. If you listen to music at high dB levels (100+ dB's) this amp is not for you. Or, if your speakers are not efficient (less than 90dB) you may not want to buy this amp. This is a very very nice amp and you will be happy with it. The only reason I am selling it is that I recently bought a BAT VK-200 from zingo (here on the forum) and don't need the Pass Labs amp anymore. So someone else gave have a shot at listening to it. You won't be dissapointed. The original box, packaging, and manual are included with the amp. You can pay via paypal, but a 3% fee will be added to the total. Money order and check are ok (check is good only from members who have been here on the forum for 4+ years). Please PM me and/or post your interests here.

My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

I'm interested pending pic's and research, How would it match with my 1C's and say ether a Rotel RTC-850 or S.A.E. Two PA10 pre. I know I need a better pre. Also is it a Volksamp Pass Aleph 30 like this.

Tony, I am about to post pics. It is just like the one above. I will post pics in the next few minutes. Unfortunately, they are from my i-phone so they are crappy pics. But you will get the idea. Brock, here on the forum is using this amp with his 1C's and swears by this amp. I used it with some 2.3TL's and was very impressed. Is it as good as the BAT VK-200? Definately not, but it is very good. Sorry, I am not familiar with your pre-amp so I cannot help there. You will definately need a good pre to get the benefits of this amp. I also have an AMC 1030 tubed based pre-amp that is very very good for the money. It was my first venture into a separate pre-amp. It is in perfect condition and will sell it it for "pretty cheap". I will even send it up to you for free for a demo if you want (if you purchase the Pass amp). I will post pics in a couple minutes here Tony.

Here you go. Pics added above. If you listen at high dB levels Tony, this amp won't be for you but if you listen in the 90dB-95dB range this amp will make your 1C's sing. Brock can probably give you a better description specifically with the 1C's as he's using this amp with some 1C's.

    Greg

Right now I'm running a Adcom GFA 555 & GFP 555 (the GFP 555 in on the way out as I don't like it all that much) and I very ever get the eviction control knob above 11 O'clock more around 8-10, I have no idea what the db level is (I don't have a meter). But I can say I DON'T listen at levels where you can't hear yourself think.

On that pre I'm not sure if I want to go down the tube rabbit hole. What I would be looking for is a pre with basic remote control (On/Off, Volume & maybe mute), Phono (MM), 2 full tape loops with dubbing both ways, CD and 1-2 Aux. Actually thinking of building my own as I'm having a hard time finding one that won't break the bank and meet my needs.

Yeah, at those levels this amp will sound great for you Tony. (At 11 O'clock you are probably in the mid to high 80's to low 90's in dB range). I understand about the pre-amp and no biggie. I was just trying to help. It meets some of the specs you are looking for, but not all (no remote for example). Building your own is proabably the way to go as you get exactly what you want and it ends up being higher quality and lower cost.

    Greg,

About 10 steps actually as I owned many Adcoms and still own my Aleph 30.

    I am loving the aleph 30 i just picked up.(powering k-horns).

I paid quite a bit more for mine and still consider it money well spent.

    These are very fine amplifiers.
