Ok, I bought a New H-K 1565.70 WPC (stereo) with 25 amp HCC.
It's an AVR but can be used for stereo.
I bought it because I dislike the Onkyo for music.
I can live with the Onkyo for movies and TV.
Really I was thinking about using the H-K with
a pair of LSI 7's for 2 Channel music, would that work ?
I would not try it with 9's.
It's either that or buy one more pair of RTI's.

It depends on 2 things; 1. How loud do you listen?; 2. Is the AVR rated for 4ohm speakers?

Steve we really don't listen very loud since we have a small room.
It's an 8 ohm H-K but If I ran it just in stereo for music would
it be Ok for a small 4 ohm speaker like the LSI 7 ?
Every once in a while I might crank it up to 80 db or so
    but not ear splitiing.
I would like to have a speaker that produces Great sound at low
    to moderate volumes.
The H-K will arrive in two days and I have not heard the RTI'4 I have
with a H-K for music, it has to be better than my Onkyo for music.

you'll be fine, but they won't sing like their meant to. The LSi7s are actually closer to 6 ohms if you look at every professional bench test. I think Polk just wanted to keep the whoel series consistent. I have run three 7s and two easier to drive surorunds off an HK avr 630 (admittedly more powerful than what you bought) for movies at some pretty decent volumes (not quire reference) and it sounded good. But on an older nad 317 integrated or an Adcom gfa 545 those 7s really come alive and sound much better. But you will still be able to appreciate the sweet sound with what you have.

^Agree. If you listen at modest levels I think you'll be fine, just give the AVR plenty of ventilation/space.

I'd take a short ride to get Falconcry's 7c's. Pleasing sound (better than LSi7 IMO), easy on the amp and wallet.

OK, a not-so-short ride. I'd still get 'em.

I would say unequivocally yes. but it's a different sound and which you prefer is a matter of personal preference. The rti4s are a little leaner in the bass, a little brighter up top (as sterephile's test bench demonstrates and listening confirms) and more forward sounding. The Lsis have a Sweet airy and extended high range, and are laid back. So it's just a question of which characteristics you prefer.
