rc85i tweeter issue - possible replacement ?

i have a pair of rc85i's on one speaker the 1inch swivel tweeter went out on me. it is not the crossover because i tested the good tweeter with the board and all is good. i also put the bad tweeter on the good working speaker and still same result. i figured out that the tweeter plastic housing is 1.625 inches at the rim and 1.75 at the bulge (swivel tweeter like i said). does anyone know where i can get a replacement tweeter ? also what might the specs be for just the tweeter ? there is no model number or anything on it.
when i experienced the problem i had pandora running on my samsung 55es7100 with spdif out to an onkyo tx-sr702 receiver. i have had these speakers for about 2 years in storage and have recently pulled them out to get them mounted. i bought them from some home theater/ car audio store back in yuma,az and have no recollection of the name of the store, needless to say a reciept is also out of the questions.
thank you all in advance for your help with this.

Hello reddy,
Welcome to Polk's forum. In all likelihood it would be best to send the speaker to Polk's service center for repair. Telephone Polk's CS department at 1-800-377-7655 for instructions.

Well i spoke to Cust Service and they said it is more cost effective to replace rather than repair the tweeter. The price was 70$+tax+shipping but if you are a club polk member you can get it for 56$+tax with free ground shipping. seeing how you can get a new pair on amazon for 150$ 50$ seems a bit steep. i was wandering if anyone has any ideas on a compatible replacement tweeter or cheaper way to resolve this. The part number i got for the tweeter is RD0086-1. Thanks
