    What is up with that second picture, closeup of the tube fabric? I would certainly hope that it is not standard workmanship.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    The fabric can be wrinkled and "hiked-up", if the sub is lifted up and down a bunch of times.

    It can be easily fixed with a "smoothing of the skirt" type motion. Too bad he snapped the pic that way - his loss I guess.

    The fabric is actually very nice in person - it reminds me of a mix between velvet and corduroy.

    This is a passive subwoofer and needs an external amp. HBomb owns two with a Samson S1000 and loves them.

    It has the TC Sounds dB-12 "Plus" driver, and triple 3" flared ports with variable tuning. The seller should include two port plugs. The stock tune is 20 Hz, and 16 and 12 are available with the port plugs.

    Anyone with a spare amp who needs a sub (Tour2ma) should watch this one closely - this is a REALLY great performing unit. It is the passive version of the 20-39 PC-Plus I owned for over a year.

    I know - I like to sit tight and bid in the last 15 seconds of the auction.

    Maybe there's still hope. You can save on shipping, certainly. And he said it was advertised locally as well. He reserves the right to sell it locally, so give him a call and see what he says.

    A 500 watt amp would be perfect, but anything over 300-350 will work well. I imagine he has an amp too (possibly the S1000). I wonder if he is advertising that as well in another eBay post?

    If you click on "View sellers other items" or the link below, he is selling a Carver TFM 22 amp. He states it as 500w x 2 or 1000w bridged mono.

    I assume this is what he was running the sub with. He could have taken better pics. Fix the damn fabric for crying out loud!

    Best buy I made for HT IMHO then comes the Denon 2900. I'm a Doc Spec copy cat:D 800i's and all!

    There is no bottom plate per say... The woofer just screws into the can. I had to replace mine and did not see or touch a plate?

    The base plate is made from hardwood and painted black. The support dowels are hardwood too.

    where in the auction does it say it doesn't come with an amp? I must have missed that part of it. Or do all 20-39PCi plus not come with amps?

    those sure don't come up on ebay ever... this is the first SVS i've seen on there. once in a while an HSU will pop up too.

    smoooooth out the black fabric.. i did on mine.. even though it's dark in the room and it can't be seen.. i just would be beside myself if I knew the fabric was wrinkled. :p
