Well I'm in the mood to get a new TV. These are the 2 I like most right now. Samsung UN65D8000XF vs Sony XBR-65HX950. I have always loved Sony TVs. Looking to see what you guys think.

I have owned 4 Sony HS TVs. Loved them all. I have a friend with a 60" Samsung. Has a great pic.mole' -

I agree. Sony has the more realistic colors to me. Samsung is just too bright. Mole just curious as to why you are looking at a 2011 model samsung. Samsung is on the ES series now with the 65es8000 being their new flagship 65". That sony I think is a 2012 model. -

Good price on a NIB item.
I have the Sony 55" hx820 and the 52" ex700 . Both of the ones I posted blow away my 55" imo.mole' -

Don't know a single person with a panny TV. So no chance to check one out.mole' -
I would NOT recommend a Samsung tv. I and others have had problems, and there are at least a couple threads on here alone about these issues.
They use shoddy parts and bad design, and have horrible support to top it all off.
I'm really happy with our Sony tv and it has great reviews online. -
I've had a Samsung Plasma a little over 1yr and its been great, no complaints or issues.---
