I heard them at Barney Millers in Lexington: Unimpressed
I heard them at Hi-Fi Buys in Nashville: Blown way

Did not have time to analyze why the difference. In Nashville though they were spread about 10' apart. I commented on how nice the Center speaker sounded. The salesman said it was there but not hooked up. Amazing. There was sound all inbetween the speakers. Speakers were toed "out" not "in" for demoing and it was about the biggest sound stage I have heard from just two speakers

The Triton Two does look like a very impressive speaker, and I've wanted to hear it since I first saw the design. EQs and signal processing can hurt the sound, and that's a shame the speakers were being demoed that way; especially since most consumers who would considering buying a pair would not run that auxiliary equipment.

Bringing this back from the dead. Anyone else hear the Golden Ear Triton 2? How would they do in a small room?

I heard them in a large HT room playing the Eagles blu-ray concert (we were demoing a large TV). Nothing great imo, although the volume was too high and not the best media from which to judge. Pretty good punch but very unrefined top end, unremarkable mids. Not at all what I would call smooth.

I have since wanted to revisit in a 2-channel setting since every review that I've noticed has been glowing (and given the designer). For context, I also didn't love the LSiM-707's while I had them in my home, fwiw.

My Prior Shop carries them and the guys over there tell me they are amazing. They also power them properly with good clean power so that says a lot on many levels.
I have not made my way over there to get a listen , but I have been wanting to. They have the entire line.

Can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. I'd take them if they were given to me, but they'd be sold to a new owner by the week's end.

Speaking of the forum, haven't seen much of Zingo since the forum overhaul....

    Sarcastic of course :p
