I use to get them from myesound or meniscus audio when I needed 1/4 - 20 but neither carry or are sold out.

So where are you finding them these days?

I am spiking my LS90s and want a good brass spike to use on them.

Let me know what you are using these days.

Looked on ebay, partsexpress, dedicatedaudio, amazon and a few others and just not seeing what I want.

Myesound or meniscus audio like spikes is what I prefer, just raw brass spikes.

tighten up bass, make speakers more stable and generally sound better as they are better coupled to the floor.

The size of the daytons is very similar to the size of the polks. I just rethreaded them. Took me about 30 seconds per spike. very easy rethread.

In December, I got some spikes from Adona Corporation with 1/4 20 threads. Looks like a lot of their spikes come in 6m and 1/4 20. I got their name from a previous post from F1. I believe they were close in price to the Daytons at Parts Express.

Madisound has 1/4x20 same as http://www.oregondv.com/spikes.htm but cheaper.

just be thankful it's 1/4x20 there's plenty out there for you try 3/8x16 now you start getting hard to find some that don't cost $20 a foot....

I know a guy that I believe used those spikes on his HTPC build and they looked pretty friggin awesome (some of his other choices I wouldnt do myself but the spikes looked COOL)!

P.S. I now hate you as you have me debating putting these on my mini computer build as well as my NFB-5 headphone amp and even the little tube amp I just got lol......

Just bought a set of these brass, black chrome 1.375" spikes in 1/4-20 from Oregondv.com for $2.50 each; $25.50 for eight with shipping. They should make a nice looking addition to my new Martin Logans, and should improve the bass response on the carpet as well. I can give you a review in a couple days if you want to wait that long.

I toss out pile and piles of B&W spikes from the CM series. Is that something people would want to buy off the Polk forsale forum?
