I had the gold master sound gold cd back in the day. Sold it ages ago. Just my luck. As Jesse says, probably the most well mastered cd I have ever heard.
Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

Nice, I ordered as well. I've got the Sony gold cd version, the Holland 180g vinyl pressing, and now I'll have the SACD. Difficult to motivate for the vinyl reissue since I've already got the original, but stranger things have ended up in my music collection...
Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

Amazon's price is not competitive for the vinyl reissue. Preorder is $63.10. It is $49.99 at elusivedisc.

Wow! And elusivedisc is always just about maximum price. That is quite a difference in price between the two......

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

An amazing piece of work. I only have the original CD but I enjoy it immensely. It's thought provoking, challenging, beautifully composed and introspective without being self-conscious or bombastic. The Sony Gold is now on my wish list.

Hey, guys. Is the "Mastersound" Gold CD the one referenced above? I can't find one that's labeled "Sony Gold."

    Thanks.

Pink Floyd chose Acoustic Sounds and Analogue Productions to handle the exclusive distribution of the monumental 2012 SACD reissue of Wish You Were Here; today it remains one of the best sellers in our 25-year company history. The 5.1 surround mix by James Guthrie was so critically well-received, reviewers were effusive in their praise. Expect nothing less with the reissue of Amused To Death.

Had this album for years and never gave it much of a thought. Dragged it out the other day and can't stop playing it. Can't wait for the SACD.

Come on guys, it's only been 2 years. Now if/when the SACD is delayed 5 years, I'm going to be really really pissed off.
