Receiver Issues running the TSI 300
I am running a denon 1913 to two tsi300 (bi-amped) front speakers, a PSW10 sub and a pioneer center. For some reason my receiver keeps turning off at moderately high volume but I cannot figure out why. Is this the receiver or the speakers that cannot handle the power? Receiver is in the open and wouldn't have any heat issues so I am concerned there could be too much power going to the tsi but i am not sure. Any help would be fantastic!

run them off the fronts only, bi-amping them puts more strain on the AVR's amp, and less power per channel, good luck with your set-up, definitely not too much power, is there such a thing?2 Channel(work in progress):DAC: Schiit modi 2 uberAmp:Parasound 1200 MK IISub:RBH 1010-SEP Speakers: Monitor 5A peerlesscurrently running some krk rokit 3g since the HK pre outs died and i need to start breaking everything down to move in a couple monthsHeadphones:Source: tidalDAC: schiit modius epre: schiit sysAmp: AQ dragonfly black/ schiit magni2 Cans: Velodyne V-True, Grado SR225i, sennheiser x drop gaming headsetPC:DAC: schiit modius e(over spdif)pre: schiit sysspeakers: prenous eris 5 xtSub: Earthquake Sound MiniMe-P63most of my comments are passing on of info, im a noob, im just trying to help how i can, if im wrong or out of place to comment, dont hesitate to let me know "WITH WILLING HEARTS AND SKILLFUL HANDS, THE DIFFICULT WE DO AT ONCE, THE IMPOSSIBLE TAKES A BIT LONGER, WITH COMPASSION FOR OTHERS. thanks, I didn't know that bi-amping put more strain on the AVR...thats interesting. I'll try that and see the result!

i dont know how it works really, i was told that multiple times when i asked about doing it with mine, a true bi amp requires two separate amps, if you look at the receiver specs, i believe the power rating is given for 2 channels driven, so you'll only get that power running 2 or less channels from you avr2 Channel(work in progress):DAC: Schiit modi 2 uberAmp:Parasound 1200 MK IISub:RBH 1010-SEP Speakers: Monitor 5A peerlesscurrently running some krk rokit 3g since the HK pre outs died and i need to start breaking everything down to move in a couple monthsHeadphones:Source: tidalDAC: schiit modius epre: schiit sysAmp: AQ dragonfly black/ schiit magni2 Cans: Velodyne V-True, Grado SR225i, sennheiser x drop gaming headsetPC:DAC: schiit modius e(over spdif)pre: schiit sysspeakers: prenous eris 5 xtSub: Earthquake Sound MiniMe-P63most of my comments are passing on of info, im a noob, im just trying to help how i can, if im wrong or out of place to comment, dont hesitate to let me know "WITH WILLING HEARTS AND SKILLFUL HANDS, THE DIFFICULT WE DO AT ONCE, THE IMPOSSIBLE TAKES A BIT LONGER, WITH COMPASSION FOR OTHERS. I have the same receiver and use tsi400 as surrounds and have no issues with them. I recommend you don't bi amp the tsi300s and make sure all your speaker connections are solid. Unfortunately our receiver is nowhere near the capacity of overpowering a set of floor standing speakersFront- RTI A7,(powered by ADCOM GFA 5500)

Thanks Oleon, I appreciate it! All connections are good to go (banana clipped) and I have removed the bi-amp and will test that. This all makes me wonder if I should take my receiver back (its brand new) and buy the in-command series. I listen to a lot of live music and I want to be able to get the most out of these speakers.

I hope it works out for you. I too plan to upgrade to the in-command series for the sole purpose of pre outs/more power.Front- RTI A7,(powered by ADCOM GFA 5500)

something with your connections/ setting was wrong. Double check the manual for correct cable and avr settings. Biamping doesn't do much but certainly doesn't hurt either. You had a problem, it was not the biamping..I have found that tube based computers provide the best sound quality. ENIAC and MANIAC I offer a smooth, well defined and articulated sound unmatched by the current silicon based CPUs.jeremymarcinko wrote: »But as in all things your perception is your reality.
