Last night I replaced the cartridge on my 1350. Went with the AT95e. It sounds great but the left channel is noticeably louder. My other sources are balanced and I tried a few records just to make sure it wasn't the record. Any ideas?

Thanks

One channel is louder because the stylus is pressing into one side of the groove harder than the other. Check your alignment and/or anti-skate.

Might also double check the cartridge leads. Make sure they are in proper phase as well.

    Jay,
Might want to read this and make sure you are doing everything correctly. Some of it is not intuitive. Took me a while to grasp all the concepts.

Thank you. I'll check the anti-skate tonight. I thought I had it set correctly. I set the balance and then the stylus pressure according to the specs for the cartridge. Maybe I went too far :-)

The AT95e sounds much better than the Series V cart that was on there...even with the left channel louder :-p
