PSW650 speaker connecting

Greetings Polk Members,

I have a question in hopes of answering.
When it comes to connecting the double subwoofer speakers,
the back of the panel from my PSW650 runs a black and a red wire (assuming red is positive) in addition to a green wire spanning from the red to the black but not directly into the panel.
Question being: Does the green serve as a ground connecting the two speakers?
I dont want to just 'plug in' incorrectly and cause damage.
Any help is most appreciated.
Thank you

Sincerely

Marcin

    Hello Marcin,
Thanks for posting on the Forum. The two drivers are connected in series, meaning the red wire, from the amplifier, goes to the positive terminal of one of the drivers. The green wire goes from the negative terminal of this same driver to the positive terminal of the second driver. The remaining black wire goes to the negative terminal of the second driver, completing the circuit.
    Regards, Ken

    Thanks a Million, Kenneth.
I have just received the 'brain' to the sub back from PolkAudio where is was repaired, unfortunately I did not write down how the disconnecting wires went.
I really appreciate your help, as no one else that I know has been able to provide me with an answer.
    Praise the Forum!

    Sincerely

    Marcin
