Just like the title says. It shuts of all of the time but at random intervals.

    Hello badkarma68,
Thanks for posting on Polk's forum. The SB5000 has an auto shutoff mode that has a fairly low threshold. Can you let us know what signal you're feeding it?
    Regards, Ken

Ken, I'm using the optical cable. It shuts off with the tv speakers on or off and at all volumes. I like the features and the sound of the system but I am about ready to return this system because of this. I am at my wits end.

I'm sorry there's a problem. Is the LED on the bar slowly blinking? If so, this would indicate the "mute" function has been activated. When it shuts off what is the LED doing?
    Regards, Ken

That would indicate that it's going into the standby mode and if this happens no matter what level the incoming signal is then there's a problem with the unit. It might be best to contact the store where it was purchased and get it exchanged.
I'm sorry you have this problem.
    Best regards, Ken

So I'm having a similar problem with my sound bar too. It shuts off randomly while using the bluetooth function. I'll connect to it with my iPhone and it'll work for a few songs and then it just shuts off, randomly. And then I have to turn off the bluetooth on my phone, turn it back on again and then reconnect it to the sound bar to have it start playing again. PLEASE HELP!
