Whats up all?
I have been Inspired to really give Cardas a serious listen. I have been Installing their products for years yet never really peaked my Interest to give them a run. Many of our Audiophile customers love them and over many different brands. I for one only own a few pair of IC's that I never really gave any time to really listen and compare to others. I did one shotout a few years ago and preferred my Audioquest Ic's over them. But I'm thinking it might be a little unfair due to the fact I didn't at the time have any Cardas Speaker wire. I do now.
So over the next few weeks I'm gonna dig very deep into them. I'm also gonna be bring home some Clear IC's and speaker wire to hear the higher end stuff. I like starting at the ground level to get a good idea of their sonic signature. Audioquest is superior at this level and I want to compare full wiring. I will be running a CD player , Intergraded amp and a pair of speakers. Very simple setup. I might throw in some High Rez computer music but I can just spin SACD's and some very well recorded CD's I use all the time. I do however have 2 pairs of Ic's so I could wire in a external DAC. We are getting Benchmark's D2's and I'm looking forward to giving one a good test drive. I will compare to the Cambridge Audio Dac Magic Plus.
