Hi
I have a marantz pm ki pearl lite driving the rti a1 and dsw pro 440 wi. I used the amp speaker out a and b to drive the speakers and sub using the a/b selection. The amp keeps clipping when the volume is up. However at lower volume the music sounds better than if i connect the speakers to the sub output
Anyone has this experience or any feedback on my connection? All feedback are welcomed.

Let me describe it in more detail.
The matantz has 2 speaker outputs, A and B. If I connect the A output from the map to the DSW sub, then using the sub-speaker output to the a1s, it runs without any problems. However, if I connect the amp A out put to the a1s and the B output to the dsw sub, then at higher volumes, the amp clips. It seems the 2 outputs are of different loads and the amp cannot take it?? Anyone here can explain this? Thanks in advance.Main: Accuphase E406 with Marantz CD6004 driving Polk LSi M705

I dont think a/b has seperate loads but you should know even driving a amplified sub will lower your impedance below 4 ohms as the amp sees it , if your amp has a rca plug marked subwoofer you need to hook up to that .
I fried a sanui AVR I hooked up a M&k 12" amplified sub to the high side ( speaker A ) and drove my existing tower speaker with it also lasted about 10 seconds then the sansui died ,
Also if your receiver has a little switch on the back where the speakers hook up marked "4 or 8 ohm" put it on 4 ohm . -
Hi 20hz
Thanks for your feedback. The pearl lite does not have a sub connection nor 4ohm switch. I tried the pre out also clip the amp. Only way to go without clipping is to connect speaker output to sub then sub speaker output to the rti a1s.
