What are the Powerful Receivers To Be On The Lookout For??

I am digging the Onkyo TX SR805 that drives my SDA 1B's with 130 WPC, but am wanting to know what would be an even better choice for a receiver that is more 2 channel oriented, that also would allow me to hook up my DVD player (Net Flix & Pandora) as well as my AT&T cable box. I am using the HDMI's with no probem, just looking for more of a punch to the SDA's and really don't have room for an extra amp right now. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks and hope all are enjoying the holidays!

If it's got pre-outs, look for a nice used 2 channel amp by parasound, adcom or carver to name a few. Have those power your 1C's and use the built in amps to power the center and surrounds. These manufacturers also make 3 channel amps as well so you can power the 1C's and your center.2-channelBelles 22A Pre, Emotiva XPA-2 Gen 2, Marantz SA8005, Pro-Ject RPM-10 Turntable, Pro-Ject Phono Box DS3B, Polk Audio Legend L800's, AudioQuest Cable throughout.

Try denon 3313 and you will like it because of its AL24 processing. Or the new 4520ci.

Thanks, so you don't know either, right?? Don't have room for an amp. I don't have 1C's, and don't use a center. SDA's take care of the room, just looking for suggestions on a more powerful receiver that will do what the 805 is doing but more kick!"if it's not fun, it's not worth it & remember folks, "It's All About The Music"!!

Sorry I missed that part on the first read. The Sunfire would be hard to beat though for the money. Happy hunting.2-channelBelles 22A Pre, Emotiva XPA-2 Gen 2, Marantz SA8005, Pro-Ject RPM-10 Turntable, Pro-Ject Phono Box DS3B, Polk Audio Legend L800's, AudioQuest Cable throughout. -
In this room I will never use more than 2 speakers...right now I have a dead mint set of 1B's and doubt I will be changing them soon. The sunfire as well as the denon are both 7.1 receivers like I already have????"if it's not fun, it's not worth it & remember folks, "It's All About The Music"!!

Look for a Technics SA1000, Marantz 2600....Perhaps you should look at integrated's. I still think you are looking at this wrong, quantity over quality. If I were you, I would MAKE room for a deidicated power amp for that Oinker and be done with it.--Gary--

NAD T787 - very powerful , very musical , featureless is it's downfall , if features are not your thing , this is for you.
Anthem MRX700 - suprisingly nice and punchy. I'm no fan of Anthem but this receiver is very nice. like NAD , not many Bells.
Pioneer Elite SC-68 - very powerful and the new age Audiophile's receiver with it's killer internal USB DAC. First of it's kind. I like this enough to buy one myself.
Yamaha RXA3020 - clean punchy and clear. Yamaha has been making fantastic receivers forever , this one is top notch.
Not in my favorite order or anything but all worth checking out.Dan
