Nothing on the market today can compare to my SD's

I've my SDA-2's solid connected to my Yamaha CA1010 being fed by a Squeeze Box and the combination is incredibly the best sound I've ever heard. I sent the CA1010 out to a very credible, well respected "Yamaha gurus" (fellow airforce friend) and this combo is f-ing fantastic. The CA1010 caps out at 95 Watts per channel RMS. The SD-2's are so clean and crisp. Very Happy with the jam's that we're listening to right now.

You've heard everything on the market today? That's a helluva feat, you should apply for inclusion to the Guinness Book of World Records.smiley_rotflmao.gifIf you can't hear a difference, don't waste your money.

My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time. -
Congrats on finding a setup you love. You're right about the SDA's being in a league of their own though... there are better speakers out there, but NOTHING sounds like an SDA except and SDA.
Let me ask you this... have you started modding your SDA's yet???:biggrin:2-Channel: PC > Schiit Eitr > Audio Research DAC-8 > Audio Research LS-26 > Pass Labs X-250.5 > Magnepan 3.7's

That sounds like a nice little set-up you have there. The old Yammy which is quite a warm sound coupled with the polks and fed by a digital whiz bang device might just be the ticket.
And by the way guys the op said "the best sound he ever heard," not that he had auditioned all of the audio gear on the planet.Main Family Room: Sony 46 LCD, Sony Blue Ray, Sony DVD/VCR combo,Onkyo TXNR 708, Parasound 5250,

The guy is happy with his system, that is all that matters. Even if you had a system for 500k, there would always be something better. Let him be happy, that is priceless.Zu Soul Supreme

WGDB- Nothing better in this hobby than finding long term satisfaction. The SD sound is very unique by current standards. I would also encourage you if you haven't already to upgrade your crossovers. Several have done so on this forum and can testify to the improvement they made.Review Site_ (((AudioPursuit)))
