Spades, I have use/used them but like banana better. The thing with spades is they do come loose in time, so once or twice a year you have to tighten them up. I did try putting super glue on the threads of the binding post for an install I did and they have not come loose in over five years. The best connection I have found and currently use is GLS Audio locking banana plugs. After the wire is screwed in I soldered the wire in, this is about a solid as you can get unless you solder the wire strait to the post. When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.

'nanners' for me.
H9: If you don't trust what you are hearing, then maybe you need to be less invested in a hobby which all the pleasure comes from listening to music. -
just wanted to know the size of the binding posts (I know I brought most on myself), but would like to know none the less.
If you can tell me how to measure the size I'll gladly get back to you regarding my 7C's & 5Jr+Series 2Monitor 7C's With Tubes -
I have used a few different speaker cables with banana and spades. The pair of AQ mammoths I have are heavy about the size of a garden hose and not very flexible so spades work better. When I used a pair of Morrow Audio cables, which are excellent cables BTW they are real thin and bananas are the way to go. Just something for you to keep in mind.

My problem with using bananas on the receiver/amp end, is that they add an extra inch of depth to my receiver. It makes it hard to fit in the cabinetDan
My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time. -
Your cabinet is no good for your receiver then. You need a few inches behind so you don't crush the HDMI cables , Analog , Banana ,etc. Cut the back out man , do yourself a favor. Not to mention leting heat out and cool air in.
