2 questions - install and troubleshooting

I've w (possibly related) questions:

1. I've connected my Soundbar3000 to my XBox 360 via the digital optical cable. I have sound when the box powers up but no sound when the game loads. is there a setting

2. I've also connected my 8y/o Samsung tv to my Soundbar 3000 and notice that when i stream Pandora, I get a noticeable amount of distortion, but no distortion when I'm streaming Netflix or video (music and dialog are fine). I've changed the channel settings but there's no improvement.

Last question - as I have only one Audio In port for the digital cable, can I connect my tv to the sound bar using either component cables or RCA cables?

    Hello dtharp113,
    Welcome to Polk's forum. It is important that any source feeding to the SB3000 is set to a PCM type digital signal. There should be some setup instructions in the XBox 360 and Samsung to choose the digital signals. You can use source #2 or #3 for conventual audio signals.
