    Hi landjoin,
Welcome to Polk's forum. Are you wanting to build an enclosure for them or are thinking about the volume of air behind the wall?
    Regards, Ken

    Hi,
Sorry I missed your reply. The 625-RT has a mounting depth of 3.5" and the 255C-RT has a mounting depth of 3 7/8", according to the specifications Polk has on the web site. Are you thinking you would need to remove some of the brick/concrete to install the speakers?
    Regards, Ken

Wow I could ask the same question except with reference to the 625RT. Mine are in an exterior wall and I was worried about temperature and dirt getting at the driver so I built an enclosure of 1" pink styrofoam insulation. Perhaps I should be concerned about the volume. Should I drill a hole in the bottom piece to let air escape? I use them as presence speakers.

    Hello,
Polk recommends 1.0 to 1.2 cubic feet sealed enclosure behind the speakers.
