I updated it a few days ago but didn't spend any time with as I have not listened to any music , sync's anything etc.
Tonight I decided to break out Channel D and was going to sit down and just listen to some High Rez files. But I decided to dig into this new version of Itunes as it looks different.
At first I hated it and felt that Itunes was fine the way it was , it's been basically the same for many years with just some add ons here and there but now Apple decided to really give it a make over.
So far I'm digging the Play next feature. This is very cool for making a on the fly playlist without making a playlist. very cool. I also dig the See in store feature under any album you have , thats very cool. It would be even cooler if Itunes would sell High rez files. That would rock. Then I wouldn't have to use Channel D software to play them. I'd like the addition of Flac to so if you have to buy music from somewhere else due to itunes doesn't have it , then you can import your music with no conversion.

I'm sure none of these things will ever happen but it would be cool.

My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time.

I had a couple hiccups, one of which my fault the other is Apple's fault and I've reported a couple bugs. Overall I like the changes and really like the new look and features and don't mind the things that got nixed.

The issue that I found and reported to Apple is that when you have the same album in two different genres it confuses the software and how it sorts the music. So I have a good bit of music in Hi Rez, and mostly those are album that I also have the redbook CDs ripped as well. I'll have al album in a genre like Rock or Jazz and have that same album in Hi Rez (I have a separate genre just for my Hi Rez files) and when I add both version of that album to iTunes with the same tags it gets confused. I've got a simple workaround, but it shouldn't be necessary.

Overall I'm happy, but do think that Apple needs to do a better job with QC on their software releases.
