SDA CRS+ speakers are unbalanced ????

What's up guys?
I need the expertise that's available on this forum. I recently picked up a pair of CRS+ speakers, with modified crossovers. The problem I'm having is that the left speaker plays quite louder than the right speaker. In my sweet spot, I can only hear the left speaker. When I go up to the right speaker, I can hear it playing, but it is very faint.
How would you guys begin troubleshooting this? Or is it a specific issue that I could address?
Thank for any help you can give, I really like the sound of these and want to resolve this issue!

Check for proper polarity, sometimes the color coded binding post nuts get switched. Check to make sure all woofers are moving freely, and not seized.

Thanks Westmassguy
I bought the speakers from a fellow polkie and I believe he said Vr3 did the mod, so no worries there. I will check the polarity however, thanks for the insightMain Rig:

The is SDA Quick Troubleshooting Information at the bottom of this thread that might help.

Sorry that you are having problems. I never had any issues like you describe, so I doubt that it is anything internal with the wiring being switched. You could check the crossovers and see if anything is wrong. If you are not able to figure anything out or you find a problem with the speakers, shoot me a pm and we can work something out. -
Westmassguy gave good advice about checking polarity. I would add that you should check polarity all the way back to the connection at the amp to be sure the wiring is correct. I like to do the 1.5 volt battery test to make certain all MW drivers are moving in the same direction.

Hey nwohlford
No worries, we're cool. There's nothing we need to work out.........I just want to get the issue worked out.
Nice speakers. Thanks
BTW: I just got a speeding ticket in the mail from DC police for doing 53 mph on New York Ave (posted (35 mph)

TennMan and Westmassguy,
thank you for your help, after reading all the troubleshooting info on the thread (link) you gave me Tennman and after checking all the connections, wiring, drivers and crossovers............I had a brainstorm!! Actually it was troubleshooting 101. I switched left speaker cables to the right channel at the amp and vice versa (duh!). Only to discover the problem is in the right channel of the amp.
About a month ago, I bought my first integrated tube amp....Yaqin MC 13s used off A'gon. I bought it about the same time that I got the CRS+'s and matched them together.
So now my dilemma is how to remedy the problem for my amp. I love the way the amp matches with the speakers. I biased the power tubes at .35v. Does anybody have any thoughts on what I could do?Main Rig:

Never mind, you biased the tubes.
-
Hmmmmmmmmmm???? Well the power tubes are pre labeled for given sockets. Are they labeled at factory for biasing reasons?
Are you talking about switching the input tubes or output tubes?Main Rig:

Do you have another amp to try? It would confirm the problem is the amp. It's possible you could have a problem with the source feeding the amp... like a CD player or a bad connection between them.

I will try to get another amp hooked up to it to see, dont think the problem is coming from further up in the chain like the source, but we'll check it out,

Dang.....I feel really dumb to report that after switching out my amp, as per TennMan, I found that the REAL issue was with my source (Adcom GDA 700) dac. I apologize to all for not doing my due...diligence before posting. Thanks to all who tried to help me.
Guess I'll just send the Adcom in for service repair.Main Rig:

Too bad about the GDA-700, but selfishly, it does make me feel a lot better that it is not an issue with speakers. -
