Ok.. sorry i didn't know what headline subject to use..

anyHoo, what is your favorite smell? (please keep it clean too) :p

Is there some smell that reminds you of your favorite place and gives you that warm fuzzy feeling inside? your first date/kiss? your mom's cooking? your favorite wine/spirits/alcohol? favorite season? favorite automobile smell???

for me it would have to be my moms cooking.. she could make shoe leather taste good. :) fresh cooked tortillas and Pico de gallo salsa, with a big plate of rice and beans mmm mmm good... but a few others would have to be flannel sheets fresh from the dryer. oooo ahhhh!

dry tamarack wood burning hot in the fireplace, the ocean breeze on a hot summer day. ahhhh, fresh garlic, fresh ginger, and finally Godiva chocolates. :D:D:D

smellfully yours, Al

    There are so many!

I agree with iDoNtKnOe2k1 about the Pep Boys stores. A very distinctive smell for those of us who worked there. One of the best retail jobs I have had.

madmax is on to something with the tire smoke but I'm gonna add to that racing fuel and exhaust and the concession stands. My girlfriend can't figure out why I can be falling asleep standing up but as soon as I smell the track, I'm totally wired! She thinks it stinks. Ah but such is the world of the gearhead! No one ever seems to understand!

I like diesel exhaust and truck stop smells. Reminds me of road trips when I was younger in the Scouts.

I love the smell of my mom's cooking. Makes me think about sitting on the couch on a Sunday watching This Old House with my dad and then Motorweek on PBS.

Pine trees reminds me of my favorite holiday, Christmas.

Pumpkin pie reminds me of Thanksgiving at my grandmother's house.

Fires...there is alot there...many many camping trips, BBQ's and weekends spent in my friend's grandfather's garage tearing cars and trucks apart and putting them back together.

Freshly fallen snow, makes me want to go running for a sled and a Jeep!

Fresh cut spring grass and all I can think is baseballbaseballbaseballbaseball!!!!!

Over-turned fall turf and all I can think is footballfootballfootballfootball!!!

Brass valve oil reminds me of high school band and play orchestra duty. About the only thing I liked from high school.

There is alot more but I'm not going to keep going. I think I posted too much already.

    1. My girlfriend's perfume (I'm a sap, okay?)
    2. The exhaust from my nitro R/C car
    3. Fresh pine boards
    4. The smell when the air is very cold, and it's about to snow.
    and
    5. The smell of electronics getting heated up (IE- when my amp is cranked). Not burning up, just hot.
    Ludicrous gibs!

    You know Julie Andrews.

I hated that movie. My little sister watched it almost every day when we were kids. All 4hrs of it.
