Dang it!!!!!

I got my first freaking ticket today, I was on way home from work and met a city cop. I new ..I new he was
going to pull me over, end of month,probable needed to get his numbers up what ever.
I didn't have my seat belt on, of all the days to forget it was today, I know that if it was the first of next month
and I forgot he would of just drove on bye.

No points towards me just a seat belt violation but it still sucks, I always put it on and even get all up on my wife and
kids for not putting theirs on!

I am not mad at him he was doing his job, I am mad at myself for forgetting! $ 25 and leason learned, no matter
how big the hurry to get home do not forget.:frown:

    $25, consider yourself lucky. In Washington State it's $124.00 for each person not wearing a seat belt.

    I'm still shocked that even today people don't wear a seatbelt...

    It's the FIRST thing I do when I get in my car. I don't even think about it, it's just such a habit that it just automatically happens.

    Not trying to sound preachy, just does not compute with me.

    but I'll agree, $25 fine = lucky.

    $25 is nothing really. I think its $50 here for the 1st time. A friend of mine that drives a commercial truck (18 wheeler) got popped earlier this year for no seat belt. It was a $250 fine!

    Agreed. I drove with a friend once who didn't put his seat belt on, and was annoyed by the dash chime after only a 5 minute drive. There is no way I could drive without one and still stay sane with the chiming...

    I agree with F1, a seatbelt is a must, how much of an issue is putting one on?

    Should have been wearing it! You probably get court costs too and looking over a buck.Im surprised he didn't charge you with DUI when you weren't! The quota stuff is big time around these parts, they will bust you for smiling on a cloudy day!!

    $25.50 plus $135.50 in court costs in NC.
    My wife wasn't too happy when she pulled out of a Wendy's to go into the neighboring business without buckling up.

    Like I said guys I do put my belt on but for some dumb reason I didn't that day.
