So I got the F/X wireless surround speakers, It is exactly what I've been looking for. I got a bad unit, the type everyone is complaining about where the connection dies, it never comes back on regardless of how loud the surround audio going through it, makes popping sounds frequently, when the connection dies I have to unplug the power to the transmitter and plug it back in for it to start working again, the scan button does nothing in this case.
So I called Polk explained the issue and they were really nice to mail out another transmitter. Well I got the new transmitter today and the nightmare is back. This new transmitter is actiing exactly the same as the old transmitter. I do not think I got a re designed transmitter the second time.
This is very concerning cause I do not know what my options are. How can I get the redeisnged transmitter that other have gotten? In other threads and on Amazon people have said the new transmitter acts normally, no popping sounds, the signal does not just drop when audio is sent through it, the scan button actually works if the connection is ever broken.
I'm at my wits end, I would really like to have this magic new transmitter that fixed other people's problems with this unit.
I really do not wnat to return the unit because when it is working it is exactly what I wanted but I cannot deal with unplugging and re plugging the unit every 30 mins while watching TV.
Can a Polk support person contact me and send me a newly updated transmitter?

As seen here, this person got a new transmitter and his comes right back to life when it goes in sleep mode, my new transmitter does not do this and requires me to unplug the power to it and plug it back in.

My biggest issue is the transmitter going to sleep every 15-30 mins even with a legit audio signal going through, both transmitters do this. Is their anyway possible to open up the transmitter and disable this option? I would greatly prefer it to be on all the time that popping and dropping the signal every 15-30 mins.

Hello swanlee,
I'm sorry you're having that kind of problem, I know it can be extremely frustrating. But, have confidence that Polk will straighten it out for you. I'll send your posting to Polk's CS manager, however he won't be back in his office until Monday, but once he knows about it I'm sure he'll respond.
Regards, Ken -
Thank you very much, I really do like this product and bought it only after reading a newly designed transmitter fixed everyone's issues. If I can just get this magic transmitter that does not drop the signal and turns the signal back on instantly like other have reported I will be extremely happy with this surround speaker.

Any update? I never got contacted by anyone. Basically for one week the unit worked correctly now. For the last week the transmitter showed blue and worked great. And just today it has started losing connection to the speaker, the transmitter will now turn red every 30 mins even though an audio signal was put through it. I was so happy with it for the last week and am disappointed it started acting up again out of nowhere.
I'm just starting to think this product is to unreliable for me, I need something that works and I do not want to have to worry about it disconnecting out of nowhere. -
Ugg frustrating so the thing works fine for a few weeks and then goes back to turning red at random times out of nowhere. The only fix is to unplug the transmitter, and this is with the second transmitter that was sent. I also never heard from anyone. Looks like I'm going to have to call them again. I thought the issues were resolved
