Was looking inside the SDA SRS 1.2 and saw it actually has a 1.2TL crossover. The speakers are also marked as SDA SRS 1.2.
Any idea why that may be?

Are you sure? What tweeters did your speakers come with? The 1.2 and 1.2tl crossovers look a lot a like..
-
Positive its a 1.2TL crossover as I went by the capacitor values on the board which match the 1.2TL Schematic Cap Values.

If the tweeters are SL3000's, you have 1.2 TL's. If they're SL2000's, they're 1.2's and can be converted to 1.2 TL's with the appropriate modifications.SDA SRS 2.3TL's

First Guess: You have 1.2TLs with 1.2 decals. Photos and/or tweeter labeling will tell the story. -
This^^^^^

The sticker on the back of my 1C says 1 as well.

Based on the Laserath diagram and actual crossover cap values I indeed have 1.2TLs.
Now I am furious. I upgraded the tweeters and the 8 drivers on each speaker thinking they were SDA SRS 1.2 tweeters and drivers because of what the labels said in the back of the speakers (Shame on me for assuming the speaker labels were correct). I now may have a mess on my hands. I will say the speakers sound great to me. But that could be my ears getting used to speakers that have the incorrect parts installed for the last couple of years.
Damn! Damnation! -
Why did you replace the drivers??
Also when you replaced the tweeters if you purchased 194's they would not have been plug and play, you would have had to modify one of the wires for it to plug into the tweeter. The 198's would have been plug and play..
If you did in fact purchase 194's just sell them and get the 198's..
As far as the drivers go both 1.2's and 1.2tl's use the same drivers so you are good there.. -

SDA's were designed to be listened to and enjoyed only by a small group of people with special inside knowledge of Polk's manufacturing practices and the fundamentals of stereophonic reproduction.
It's sorta like how jazz music is designed only to be listened to and enjoyed by other jazz musicians.Proud and loyal citizen of the Digital Domain and Solid State Country! -
Hey!! I'm no musician and Jazz is some of my favorite music to play on SDA's...:cheesygrin:
