As a stand alone piece the sound quality is pretty darn good, now throw in a nice DAC & be prepared to ditch the CD player. Welcome to the new "audio" norm. I use to stream FLAC rips of my CD's and also MOG and Pandora. Love the system as I have it combined with two Sonos:PLAY units which allows me to play the same (or different if I choose...) all over the house.
Great system which I always recommend to friends and two have chosen to install at their homes. -
Sonos connect is the way to go for streaming music wireless, i think its better than the Logitech SB.

I believe what it does is takes the music files from the phone too, which is going to be mp3, but the benefit is playing it into your system which hopefully will have a dac.
This is what I ment in other threads about Sonos constantly working to make their software better.HT SYSTEM-

Great feature for parties too...now people can play what "they" want or have without touching your gear, just turn it on-set the max volume-ready to jam2-channel: Modwright KWI-200 Integrated, Dynaudio C1-II Signatures
