LSi15 comparisons
I was using the comparison chart of Polks, comparing the LSi15's to the Monitor 10's Series2 (currently use as fronts) when I noticed under Enclosure Type it was N/A. C'mon polk. I know the difference but that is a critical piece of info which is missing.
On another note, would a current owner lof the LSi15's like to offer their opinion on the sound. If I can find an authorized dealer here in Southern Cal, I will give them a listen. They might replace my Monitor 10 S2.

Hello Dan,
Thanks for posting on the Forum. What question about the two enclosures are you looking for?
Regards, Ken -
Hi Ken,
For enclosure types for both the M10 and LSi15's, I was looking for the Monitor 10's to be that of a Passive Radiator type and the LSi15 a Bass reflex or tuned port type of enclosure. Perhaps you can add 'enclosure type' to the comparison chart.
Finally being able to purchase a new pair of Polks in 1991 (M10 S2) I remember wondering why polk never had speaker encloures of the Bass Reflex or Tuned Port type. The first time I heard my brothers JBL L166 Horizons, I thought there is no better type of enclosure than the tuned port. I see Polk is adapting this type of enclosure now. Interesting.
Still interested in Polks,

Dan,
Just thought I'd show you a few graphs displying the difference between using the same driver in a sealed box vs a ported configuration.
Note:
Ported has bad group delay, cone displacement and impedeance at lower freqs
Ported has a lower F3 thought (-3 db down freq)
Sealed has better linearityCan YOU feel the bass?
