What are your thoughts on active Bi-amping and Passive B-amping?
The real benefits of bi-amping will not be realized if done passive.Your post came off as rude and condescending.
No, it didn't. I made a suggestion, nothing more, nothing less.Maybe if you would elaborate a bit it could become useful and informing.
Wait a sec, didn't you just say you already knew and had Internet access?Im going to go the Passive way because the B&W cross overs are awesome and because I want my amps to work more efficiently with less distortion.
Last I knew they use Bennic caps, please correct me if otherwise. Your amps will not work more efficiently with less distortion unless you go active.Political Correctness'.........defined

I don't know much about speakers, brands, amps, etc, but I have a background in physics.
Save money on cables. There is no appreciable difference in cables UNLESS you buy something poorly made or the cable gauge is too high for your needs. Buy a reel of 14 or 12 gauge wire and cut to matching lengths for matching speakers (fronts, surrounds, rears). As long as you don't damage the wire and you make a good connection, it will sound great and you will save money on brand name cables. -

Show me measurable and repeatable proof of the difference between correctly made basic cable and the same gauge name brand cable. Something that can be verified using the scientific method.
That's all it will take to convince me that I was incorrect. -

I use my ears and suggest you do the same as they are the ONLY thing that counts.
While we're at it, what cables have you tried?Political Correctness'.........defined
