Exciting News! AUDIO FIDELITY is releasing two hybrid SACD's in December.

Our first SACD's in ten years!
~~
YES "CLOSE TO THE EDGE"
and
RUSH "COUNTERPARTS"

We have had many requests for SACD and I cannot think of two better artists and titles to re-enter the SACD market.

Nothing I want, but I'm glad they are doing SACD's again.

    Just wanted to let people know that Steve hoffman is mastering YES's Close to The Edge for the Audio Fidelity SACD. This is excellent news. The problem is, as of a few days ago he hadn't started the mastering process yet. Elusive Disc has a release date set for December 11th. If this date is accurate, I hope the mastering process is not rushed to meet this date. I would rather have a perfectly mastered SACD than a rushed one to have it out sooner, IMO.

    That's pretty cheap for CTTE. Elusive Disc has a release date of December 11th and I have pre-ordered from them along with a number of other titles. However, Steve Hoffman (who is mastering this SACD) has said it won't be released until early 2013 unfortunately. I don't care when it's released as long as it's mastered superbly!

    Very cool , I'd love to see SACD make a huge comeback for all those who still spin disc's. But I believe the future in music is High Rez from the computer. I also think it sounds better.

    Encouraging to see this format come back from near-obsolescence. Between this and Vinyl's resurgence its enough to make one hopeful that portability wont be the most popular thing about audio to the populace someday.

    I've received an e-mail today from Audio Fidelity that it will be making its "classic recordings" available on SACD. Don't know whether this means from this momemt on, or AF wants to go back to reissue past releases on SACD. Stay tune for more information.
