Can someone please explain to me why I need a post count of 100 to view items in the For Sale classified section?

The idea is that the Classified section of the forum is a privilege for contributing members; 100 posts was set as the minimum for contribution. If someone wants to sell their wares online, go to another website is designed for that. If someone wants to participate and contribute to the collective knowledge and help of an audio forum, being able to swap items between those members is a nice benefit.

"Not again"..............
Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion."
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

I'll add that every "shopping" experience I've had on this site has been positive, both as a buyer and a seller. The 100 post-count minimum in no way guarantees a positive experience... but it doesn't hurt.2-Channel: PC > Schiit Eitr > Audio Research DAC-8 > Audio Research LS-26 > Pass Labs X-250.5 > Magnepan 3.7's

Best part of this tread so far! Bet the wife/girlfriend wasn't too happy after a couple hours.“The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” ~ Mark Twain -

Well thank you for your replies both good and bad. I'm afraid that this isn't the type of community that I want to be a part of. You ostracize new members by placing a post count requirement to access certain forums? I have never heard of such a thing. I wonder how many potential new members have passed on by due to this kind of "good ol' boys club" mentality? No need to flame because this will be my last post and I will not be returning. Farewell.
