Thanks guys. The bathroom was a "must do" since we're on the high-end for pricing in this area. Tony, we're (hoping) to grab a Santa Fe on 17 acres out in Hereford, about 15 minutes away from our current house. (Pronounced "Her-ferd" for you city-slickers). We also looking out in Sonoita, though acreage is at a premium there, it's absolutely gorgeous land.

    Very nice.

I like Arizona and it's on the top of my list of places to move in a couple of years. Must get out of Porkland, Oregon..

Have friends in Tucson and Sonoita. Tucson wouldn't be bad, but would prefer someplace like Sonoita with a few acres all to yourself.

    Good luck with the sale!

Nice to see housing prices bouncing back. But 17 acres? Are you going to ride horses on that?

No horses, just way too much up keep and care. You have to really LOVE horses to invest the time necessary, not to mention the money.

Nice place. GLWTS. I really like your patio/backyard. Prices are a little better down south for sellers. Probably not as much excess inventory as Maricopa County.

GLWTS Steve. Hope you and Bev find the perfect spot. I must say, prices seem low compared to my area. I wish I could find a house like yours at that price, that would be a steal!

We're actually priced a bit on the high side, but we're hoping the 12x40 covered patio and pool combo helps us get there. We should actually be around $265,000 if we wanted to move the house quickly.

To give you an idea of the housing market here, we paid $243,000 for the house (new) 7 years ago. Now keep in mind that we had about $40,000 in upgrades in that price, and the pool was an additional $34,000.

I like your backyard nicely done w/ the covered portion/bar the pool and fire pit. You can get a stacked condo here or garden home @ 1500sq ft for that price with virtualy no backyard. Reg towns start at 1400sq ft for about 300 then exec towns 1700 sq ft about 310 singles start about 395 for a very small 3bed 2.5 bath about 1600sq ft. So I'd love if i could get your price...
