Question About New Inductors

I've recapped, and replaced the resistors on all my Polks. I was reading through the new SDA Handbook, and noted MPs recommendations on upgrades. I'll paraphrase here: he said to leave the original inductors in the Hi-Pass section, but specifically recommended replacing the Low-Pass inductor on the Dimensional Driver(s) with a better quality, lower resistance inductor for improved low bass response. He also warned that doing this could potentially present a 2ohm load to your amp at certain frequencies.
I'm not worried about my CRS+s, as they are an easier load for my equipment. My 2As on the other hand brought my Pioneer Elite to its knees, so I picked up the Carver. The Carver PM-600 powers the 2As with ease, whether in two channel or HT.
For those who have replaced the inductors, did it improve the low bass as MP suggests? Was there a noticable increase in the load presented to your amplifier? Lastly, was it worth the added cost...copper ain't cheap.
I was looking at the "Perfect Layer" Inductors, and they have the exact values I need.
Thoughts, suggestions?
