Easy there, no need to get hostile and start the name calling.

You didn't say "It's not safe", but "Drives degrade over time. Lots of reviews of SSD drives failing" can easily be interpreted as 'I shouldn't use an SSD because they're not safe, or don't work well'.

There are SSD drives that perform just fine and have a great track record, and then there are some that don't. The most accurate advice would be something like:

SSD drives are faster and can be a great alternative to mechanical hard drives. However, there have historically been problems with some controllers and chipsets so it's a good idea to do your research and make sure you're getting a reliable drive that performs well.

Your statement reads more like a blanket 'All SSDs have problems' which is simply not accurate.

Have you seen the reviews of most spinners since WD's factory was flooded out last year? 1 or 2 out of every 4 are DOA or fail shortly after. Seagate isn't any better.

For a SSD, buy a quality Intel drive and be done with it.
