I have a pair of Polk RTi12's that I purchased new in 2004. Serial #: AM153201744 & AM153201727

About a year ago the upper midrange speaker in both speakers began 'rattling' on occasion; the right speaker more so than the left. It's getting worse on the right side and I must replace it before it drives me crazy.

I emailed customer support and Alex Lemaire (Customer Service Representative - Technical Support) referred me to Club Polk.

I'm trying to located the link to where I can order the part. In an earlier thread in this forum someone gave the following link:

http://clubpolk.polkaudio.com/service/

Unfortunately I'm getting a 404 Not Found message for that link.

Can anyone provide me with the latest link to order parts?

Thanks,
John

If you know what part you are looking for, check ebay or ask on this site if anyone has spares. You maybe able to score some for cheaper than you can get from polk. If you do go through polk, make sure to tell them you are a club polk member. You will get a discount and free shipping.

I purcahsed a new pair of RTI A9 two weeks ago. One of them drops midrange and tweeter ocassionally. I swap speaker wires, but same result. Finally, I connect wires to upper binding post, it works for a minutes, then drops again. Then I notice if I just press with very little force on the negative binding post to positve post, it works fine. So, the internal of binding posts are loose. You should test it out because you may not have the speakers problem.
